Musa was stationed at Dhaka’s Rajarbagh Police Lines
The dead bodies of a policeman and his six-month-old son who went missing following a trawler capsize in Modhumoti River in Narail’s Lohagara upazila on Friday, were recovered on Sunday.
The dead body of Abu Musa Rezwan, 28 was recovered in the morning while the dead body of his son Anas was recovered in the evening from Mohishpara area of the upazila.
Lohagora police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Syed Ashikur Rahman confirmed the matter.
Abu Musa Rezwan was stationed at Dhaka’s Rajarbagh Police Lines.
Musa along with six family members were on a pleasure cruise on the river on Friday.
When they were returning home around 7:00pm, the engine of their trawler malfunctioned.
At one stage, the trawler sank when it hit an under-construction bridge due to the strong current of the river.
The father along with his son remained missing after the incident while others were rescued by locals.
On information, a team of Lohagara Fire Service went to the spot and conducted a rescue drive at night.
However, the team could not find the missing father and son till Saturday evening.
