Rapid Action Battalion has taken three Armed Police Battalion (APBn) members into custody for interrogation over the murder case of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.
A team of RAB 15 took them from Cox's Bazar district jail around 11am Saturday, confirmed Md Mokammel Hossain, superintendent of the jail.
On Tuesday, Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Tamanna Farah had granted a seven-day remand for APBn Sub-Inspector Shajahan and constables Rajib and Abdullah, all of whom were on duty at Shamlapur Police Investigation Centre on the night of July 31.
Major (retd.) Sinha was shot dead at Shamlapur check post on the night of July 31 on his way back to Nilima Resort in Himchhari area of Cox's Bazar on Marine Drive after filming a video on Marishbunia hill in Teknaf.
Earlier on Thursday, a court sent four accused cops and three other suspects to jail after they were questioned by RAB for seven days over the Sinha murder case.
Meanwhile, the three main murder accused, OC Pradeep Kumar Das, SI Liakat Ali and ASI Nanda Dulal, all suspended from the police force, were taken to the crime scene by the investigating officer on Friday.
