The long-awaited Covid-19 testing facility is finally available for residents of the district
A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory has been inaugurated in Rangamati.
Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) Chairman Paban Chowdhury inaugurated the Lab at a program at Rangamati Medical College Hospital building yesterday morning.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner AKM Mamunur Rashid, Zila Parishad chairman Brish Ketu Chakma, Superintendent of Police Alamgir Kabir, Civil Surgeon Dr Bipash Khisha were also present among others in the event.
The lab was established with the financial aid of Bashundhara Group, said the hospital sources.
Paban Chowdhury, also a bureaucrat entrusted with the task of monitoring the coronavirus pandemic situation in the hilly district, handed over a cheque to Rangamati Civil Surgeon Dr Bipash Khisha.
