RAB seize books promoting extremism from the spot
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two suspected members of the banned militant outfit Ansar-Al-Islam in Barbangram village of Rajshahi on Friday night.
The arrested were identified as Nur alias Masud, 19, and Sanoar Jahan alias Farhad, 19, both hailing from Chapainawabganj district, said RAB-5 through a press release.
A case has been filed against the duo, who have confessed to their involvement with the militant organization during preliminary interrogation, stated the press release.
Acting on a tip-off that the militant members of the outfit had held a meeting to plan an attack, a team of RAB conducted a raid in the area and detained the two men, the press release added.
