Three masked men reportedly broke into the house of a ninth grade schoolgirl and gang-raped her after beating up her family members and tying them up with ropes in Kurigram's Rajarhat upazila.
The girl's father is preparing to file a case in this regard at Rajarhat police station.
The girl's father said his family members often received texts in obscene language and one of the neighbours has been putting them under pressure to get hold of their land. He demanded justice for the incident involving his teenaged daughter.
Rajarhat police station officer-in-charge Raju Sarkar said the girl had been sent to Kurigram General Hospital for treatment and forensic tests.
"The investigation will be conducted with due importance," the OC said. He added that he believed police could identify the culprits very soon.

Police on Monday arrested a man accused in a case filed for raping and impregnating a fifth grade schoolgirl in Gaibandha 's Sadullapur upazila.
The accused Shahidul Islam Sarkar, 30, was sent to jail after he was produced in front of a court on the same day, reports our Gaibandha correspondent Tazul Islam Reza.
Medical report has found out that the girl is two months pregnant, said Sadullapur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Masud Rana.
Quoting the girl's father OC Masud said: "The girl used to go to Shahidul's house to watch television as her family did not have one. Shahidul raped the girl promising marriage and the girl informed the matter to her parents on Sunday after she got pregnant."
