Earlier on June 20, police recovered the dead body of a child named Siyam from a jute field in Fulbari upazila a day after he went missing
Police recovered the dead body of another child from a bamboo cluster in Ramkhana village of Kurigram's Nageshwari upazila on Tuesday morning, two days after she went missing.
The deceased, identified as Sadia was the daughter of Shafiqul Islam from the village, said Nageshwari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rowshon Kabir.
Victim's father Shafiqul said, "I told my wife to look for Sadia as she was not seen when I went to work on Sunday morning. As Sadia did not return to home after several hours passed on that day, we kept searching for her for two days. Later, my child's dead body was discovered in the bamboo cluster on Tuesday morning."
However, locals suspected Sadia was raped before being killed.
Speaking on the matter, Nageswari police station Officer-in-Charge Rowshon Kabir, said: "We primarily suspect Sadia was strangled to death. And whether she was raped before being killed can be confirmed after autopsy."
"Police are investigating the matter." added the OC.

Siyam was the son of construction worker Jahedul Haque from the village.
