At least, six people with symptoms similar to those of Covid-19 have died in the last 24 hours in Comilla.
The deceased were identified as Parvin Akhtar, Mosatak Ahmed, Abul Hossain, Moslem Uddin, Alamgir Hossain and Nazrul Islam.
The patients suffering from fever and cold died at the isolation ward of Comilla Medical College Hospital, said Assistant Surgeon Mukta Rani Bhuiyan, on Monday.
With the new deaths, 70 people have died so far with the same symptoms, said the doctor.
In the district, 2,681 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19. A total 777 people made recovery from the disease.
Bangladesh reported 3,480 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number to 115,786. During the period, 38 more patients died from the disease, taking the death toll to 1,502.
