At least two people have died--one of them was stabbed to death, while his reported killer died after being lynched by the locals-- in Dacope upazila, Khulna.

The deceased, Utpal and his father librarian Sukumar Raftan allegedly warned, another deceased, Emon and his father Badol Hossain not to graze their cattle on the library premises, confirmed Dacope police station OC Shafikul Islam Chowdhury.
Infuriated by the warning towards his father, Emon called in a meeting with Utpal and stabbed him. Hearing Utpal’s screams, locals rescued and took him to a hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead, police said.
Meanwhile, hearing about Utpal’s untimely death, angry locals gave Emon a heavy beating after which he became critically ill. He was declared dead after being taken to the Upazila Health Complex, confirmed Dr Saiful Islam of the hospital.
