The girl was raped, murdered along with her mother, sister, and brother and the five perpetrators confessed to their crimes, RAB sources said
One of the victim of the infamous Gazipur quadruple murder, Sabrina Noora, who was murdered along with three of her family members in Sreepur upazila on April 24, secured GPA 5 in her Secondary School Certificate examination results published on Sunday.
The deceased, Noora, appeared for the exams from the Jaina Bazar HK Academy and would have received her grades on Sunday along with other students, said Shaheen Sultana, the headmaster of the school.
“Noora’s uncle Jahid Hasan Arif came to the school to receive the result in her stead and broke into tears along with us,” said the headmaster.
“We demand prompt punishment for the criminals who killed a brilliant girl like Noora and her innocent family members,” added Shaheen Sultana.
Noora's friends, classmates, teachers, and headmaster all reminisced about her and demanded justice for the brutal murder that cut her life short.
On April 23, police recovered the decapitated bodies of Sabrina Noora, 16, her mother Smriti Fatema, 45, her younger sister Hawarin, 12, and brother Fadil, 8, who were killed in their house by a group of criminals in the early hours of April 22.
Three of the victims were also raped before the murder. Five criminals later looted the house to get money for gambling and buying narcotics, Rapid Action Battalion said on April 29 after arresting five persons in this connection.
The perpetrators confessed to their crimes before the court shortly after the incident.
