A coronavirus infected patient has fled from the isolation ward of Mohammad Ali Hospital in Bogra on Friday.
The 34 year old man, hailing from Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur, fled from the ward at around 9am on Friday, confirmed Residential Medical Officer Dr Shafiq Amin Kajol.
Shafiq said the man was admitted to the hospital after he was found unconscious at Mahasthangarh area in Bogra on May 18.
Next day, authorities collected samples from the man and ran a test for coronavirus which turned out positive, said Dr Shafiq.
However, on Friday morning, the patient fled while the nurses were busy in treating another patient with serious complications in the ward , the RMO added.
