A man died from coronavirus and 22 more people, including seven members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), tested positive for the disease in Keraniganj, one of the coronavirus hotspots, in the last 24 hours till Saturday.
Seven people so far died from coronavirus in the upazila and total cases soared to 173, according to UNB.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mir Mobarok Hossain said on Saturday morning a 66-year man died from virus infection.
Among the new patients, 12 people are in isolation at their respective houses and the rest 10 people are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the capital.
