Two physicians in Mymensingh and a policeman in Gazipur also test positive
Authorities in Kurigram and Narail on Monday reported the first novel coronavirus cases of the districts.
Meanwhile, two physicians and a policeman also tested positive for Covid-19 in Mymensingh and Gazipur, respectively.
In Kurigram, a 17-year-old youth from Rowmari upazila tested positive, making him the district's first such case.
The boy, who had gone to his uncle's home in Savar, returned to Datbhanga union on April 7. Report of his sample's test came back positive on Monday, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Al Imran.
In Narail, a 25-year-old man from Lohagora upazila tested Covid-19 positive, the district's first case, confirmed the district's Civil surgeon Dr Abdul Momen late on Monday.
In Mymensingh, two doctors from Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex tested positive, according to Civil Surgeon ABM Mosiul Alom.
In Gazipur, a sub-inspector of Gacha police station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police was also found infected with Covid-19 on Monday, said GMP Commissioner Anwar Hossain.
Until Monday afternoon, health authorities in Dhaka confirmed 803 Covid-19 cases around Bangladesh, since March 8 when the country's first three cases were reported.
Among all the patients, 39 died and 42 recovered so far.
