Comilla Central Jail authorities detained a jailer after he was caught red handed with yaba pills during duty on Monday.
The detained, Tarikul Islam Shahin, is the assistant jailer of the prison.
File photo of Tarikul Islam Shahin | CollectedActing on a tipoff, police caught him with 106 yaba tablets. Later jail authorities discovered 416 more yaba pills when they searched his room in the prison barrack, said Senior Jail Super Md Shahjahan Ahmed.
He added that a case will be lodged against Tarikul with Kotwali Model police station in Comilla.
