Two people were killed when a truck ran them over on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj Highway in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh around 6am on Wednesday.
The deceased identified as Sirajul Islam, 50, and Abdur Rashid, 45, died on the spot, said Nandail Highway police Officer-in-Charge Tawfiqul Islam.
Police sent the bodies to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue, reports a correspondent from Mymensingh.
The truck was seized but its driver and his assistant fled the scene. A case was filed in this connection.
