The Election Commission has decided to postpone the election to Chittagong City Corporation, along with the by-polls to Bogra 1 and Jessore 6 constituencies.

The city corporation and the by-polls of the constituencies were scheduled for March 29.
Sources at the Election Commission said the commission came up with the move considering the coronavirus, or Covid-19, pandemic.
The development will be officially briefed in the afternoon, they said.
In the meantime, the voting in the by-polls to three constituencies -- Dhaka 10, Gaibandha 3, and Bagerhat 4 -- was held on Saturday amid the fear of coronavirus outbreak.
Bangladesh has recorded its second death from Covid-19, three days after the authorities confirmed the first death.
Besides, four new Covid-19 cases -- two men and two women -- have been confirmed in the country, taking the number of those infected to 24.
The fast spreading coronavirus, declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), has claimed more than 11,000 lives and infected over 276,000 people across the globe, according to worldometer.
