At least six people were killed and five others injured in road accidents on Friday.
In Pabna, two people were killed and three others injured when a truck hit a covered van on the Pabna-Dhaka Highway at Madhupur in Sadar upazila.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Hamid, 40 and Babu Hossain, 50, said Pabna Highway police In-charge Aminul Islam.
In Gopalganj, a man was run over by a microbus on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Char Chapta of Kashiani upazila.
The deceased is Md Idris Molla, 45, died on the spot, said Bhatiapara Highway police Sergeant Rezaul Karim.
In Jessore, a truck driver died when he crashed his vehicle with a roadside tree after hitting a pedestrian in Bagherpara.
The deceased pedestrian Baru Begum, 75, and the truck driver Al-Amin, 26, died on the spot. A worker who was on the truck was injured in this crash.
Bagherpara police station OC Ripon Bala confirmed the matter.
In Noakhali, an upazila education was critically injured when he was thrown off a rickshaw after it was rear-ended by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Maijdee town.
The deceased Jasim Uddin Shiekh, 45, died at a Dhaka hospital, said Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Ariful Islam Sardar.
