At least 11 people were killed and seven others injured in road accidents in Mymensingh, Sherpur, Magura, Satkhira, Gaibandha and Shariatpur from Thursday night till Friday.
In Mymensingh, four people were killed and six others injured when a Dhaka bound bus hit auto rickshaw on Roghunathpur area on Friday afternoon.
The deceased were Ariful Islam, 18, Sakib, 18, Sojib Ahmed, 20 and Mizanur Rahman.
Haluaghat fire service Station in-Charge Emdadul Haque confirmed.
In Sherpur, two boys were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a truck in Baromaisha Bazaar road area in Nokla upazila on Friday.
The deceased were Hamidul Islam, 15, and Maruf, 13.
Nokla police station OC Shah Md Alamgir Hossain said: “Hamidul died on the spot and Maruf died on his way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. We have arrested truck driver’s assistant Forhad and seized the truck.”
In Magura, a woman was killed when a speedy truck ran her over from behind on Magura-Narail highway in Parla area on Friday.
The deceased was Aleya Begum, 45, wife of Abu Bokkor Mollik.
Magura Sadar police station SI Al Imran said: “We have seized the truck but the driver and his assistant managed to flee.”

In Gaibandha, a man was killed when a truck hit his motorcycle from behind on Sundarganj-Bamondanga road in Baidyanath area of Sundarganj upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was Mizanur Rahman, 35, son of Nurul Islam.
Sundarganj police station OC Abdullahil Zaman said: “Mizanur died on his way to Sundarganj Upazila Health Complex.”
A case was filed in this connection with the Sundarganj police station.
In Shariatpur, two students were killed and one other injured when their motorcycle lost control on Saikka Bridge and hit railings of the bridge in Kodalpur village of Gosairhat upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased were Md Ribol Mahmud Khan, 20, and Md Saiful Hossain Bepari, 19.
Gosairhat police station OC Molla Shoheb Ali said: “They were on their way to buy flowers for the International Mother Language Day. Injured Md Siam Sardar was sent to Dhaka for better treatment.”
