Police recovered the hanging body of a person accused of rape, from Nayapara in Ghatail upazila of Tangail on Sunday.

Apu's body was found hanging from a tree in a deserted place according to SI Motiur Rahman of Ghatail police station.
He might have committed suicide, locals say.
As no murder signs were found on the body, he might have committed suicide by hanging himself, said the SI.
An unnatural death case was filed in this connection and the body was sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue for an autopsy, the SI added.
Two held for rape
Police arrested two people in connection with separate cases filed for raping a woman and a teenager in Bogra and Rajshahi districts.
In Bogra, police on Sunday arrested Rafikul Islam, 28, from Thonthonia bus-stand for assisting one of his friends in raping his wife and torturing her on Saturday, said Shahjahanpur police OC Azim Uddin.
"We are grilling the accused, and if he doesn't confess, he will be produced in court with a remand prayer," the OC added.
According to the case statement, the accused tied his wife's hands with a piece of rope to allow his friend to violate her. Later, Rafikul poured acid on her and tortured her with blades.
In Rajshahi, police arrested Anik, 23, of Belpukur of Putia upazila, for raping his 17 year old girlfriend with a promise of marriage.
He was later sent to jail when the girl filed a rape case with Belpukur police station on Sunday, said OC Alamgir Hossain.
In Sirajganj, Rapid Action Battalion arrested Tanjil, 20, from Tarash upazila's Ramarchar on Sunday morning for abducting and raping a teenager on February 6, states RAB-12 Media Officer MMH Imran in a press release.
Tanjil was produced in court and sent to jail, said the official.
In Dinajpur, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University (HSTU) terminated a teacher on Saturday for sexually harassing a student of the same university.
Following a recommendation from a probe committee, the university terminated the accused, Ramjan Ali, a teacher of the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, university sources say.
