Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted that weather would remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over Bangladesh in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am Friday.

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Kishoregonj, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Jessore and Kushtia, and it may continue, said a Met office bulletin issued Friday morning.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over Bangladesh during midnight to morning, reports BSS.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 30°C in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar, while Friday’s minimum temperature was 6.8°C in Rajarhat of Kurigram district.

The sun sets at 5:39pm on Friday, and rises at 6:42am on Saturday in Dhaka.
