Mannan passed away due to cardiac arrest on January 18

Awami League leader Abdul Mannan, MP, of Bogura 1 constituency has been buried in Sariakandi Eidgah graveyard in Bogra.

The three-time lawmaker was laid to his eternal rest after third Namaz-e-Janaza in Sariakandi on Monday, reports BSS.

His second namaj-e-janaza was held at Sheikh Russel Mini Stadium in Sonatala upazila in the district after Zohr prayers.

Mannan, 66, passed away on January 18, after suffering from cardiac arrest at the capital’s Labaid Hospital.

He suddenly became sick at his city’s Dhanmondi residence on January 16, and was taken to the Popular Hospital. Later, he was transferred to the Labaid.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep sorrow at the death of Mannan and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

She also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Mannan served as organizing secretary of Awami League and president of Bangladesh Chhatra League.

He was an elected member of parliament thrice from Bogra 1 in 2008, 2014 and 2018.
