Police on Friday arrested two men in two separate rape cases filed in Habiganj and Noakhali.
In Habiganj, police arrested the prime accused in a case filed for gang-raping a college student in Chunarughat upazila.
The arrested was identified as Shamim Ahmed Mamun, 22.
Chunarughat police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Nazmul Huq confirmed the arrest early on Friday.
The 19-year-old rape survivor lodged a case with Habiganj Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal 2, accusing five people on Wednesday.
According to the case statement, the girl was in a relationship with the prime accused Shamim. On Tuesday, Shamim took her to the Satchhari National Park where he along with his accomplices Fazlur Rahman, Ali Hossain, Junayed Latif, and two others, raped her in turns in an isolated place, while Akkas Ali, a three-wheeler driver stood watch.
The locals came and rescued her upon hearing her screams soon after the rapists left her abandoned.
OC Nazmul said: “We are interrogating Mamun to learn about the whereabouts of his accomplices.”

The accused Md Badsha, 26, was arrested from his home on Friday afternoon.
Quoting the rape survivor, Senbag police station OC Mizanur Rahman said Badsha raped her by breaking into her home on Thursday around 8pm while her parents were away.
"The girl filed a case in this connection last morning. Police arrested Badsha last afternoon, and later sent him to jail through court," added the OC.
Noakhali 250-bed General Hospital Resident Medical Officer Syed Mohiuddin Abdul Azim said: “The girl was brought to the hospital for medical attention. A report will be submitted to the superintendent of police after the check-up is complete.
