The derailment delayed Dhaka-bound intercity train Jamuna Express by four hours

The rail communication between Mymensingh and Jamalpur has resumed after six hours of suspension following a local train's derailment.

The rail communication resumed at East Fulbaria in the district town on early Thursday.

"A compartment of the local train No 253 UP went off the tracks around midnight," said Station Master of Jamalpur Railway Station Shahidul Islam.

On information, a relief train from Mymensingh rushed to the spot, and cleared the rail tracks in the morning after three hours’ efforts.

The derailment delayed Dhaka-bound intercity train Jamuna Express by four hours, he added.
