Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested four enlisted yaba dealers with 800,000 pieces of yaba pills during a drive in Cox's Bazar.
The incident occurred at Rongikhali area of Teknaf upazila Friday morning.
The arrestees are Nur Alam alias Nur Hafez, Sohel, Syed Nur, and Nur Alam alias Kalu.
RAB 7 Operation Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mashekur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said: "Acting on a tip-off, RAB officials conducted a drive in the area and arrested Nur Hafez.
After initial interrogation, the law enforcement agency arrested three associates of Hafez, and seized 800,000 yaba pills from their possession."
The RAB team also recovered six firearms and 70 rounds of bullets, ASP Mashekur added.
RAB 7 Commanding Officer (CO) Lt Col Mashiur Rahman Juwel said Nur Hafez is a yaba kingpin. He is a top criminal and has his name in the Home Ministry's wanted list.
"This can easily be considered our biggest drive of the year," CO Mashiur added.
