In Tangail, police recovered hanging body of a man from the Dayakandi village in the Ghatail upazila

Four bodies including women were recovered in Kurigram, Tangail, Munshiganj and Gazipur on Friday.

In Kurigram, police recovered the body of an elderly woman from a river port in the Jadurchar union of the Rowmari upazila.

The deceased was  identified as Fajirun Nesa, 65, wife of late Hazrat Ali from the Komorvangi village of the upazila.

Rowmari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Md Delwar Hasan Inam said: "We recovered the body after locals informed us that a body was floating on the water."

"Preparation is underway to send the body to the Kurigram Sadar hospital for autopsy." he added.

In Gazipur, police recovered the body of a female garment worker from a bush in the Hatiab Khilpara area of the town a day after she went missing.

The deceased identified as Asma Akhtar aka Sathi, 20 was the daughter of Kasim Uddin from Vaoyal Gazipur village of the city.

Gazipur Metropolitan Sadar police station Inspector (Investigation) Syed Rafiul Karim said: "Asma went missing on Thursday night when she was returning home from the factory in the Salna area of the city. 

Relatives started searching for her after she went missing that night. Later, they discovered Sathi's body in the Hatiab Khilpara area on Friday morning."

"We suspect she was strangled to death. The body was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy. No arrest was made yet in this connection," the Inspector added.

In Tangail, police recovered hanging body of a man from the Dayakandi village in the Ghatail upazila.

The identity of the deceased was not confirmed yet.

Ghatail police station Officer-in-Charge(OC) Atel Hossain said: : "We recovered the body after locals informed us and sent it to the Tangail General Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death."

In Munshiganj, police recovered the body of an auto-rickshaw driver from a pond in the Katakhali village of the Gazaria upazila five days after he went missing.

The deceased was identified as Manna, 22 , the son of Monju Madbor from Dakhin (South) Fuldi village of the upazila.

Tarikul Islam, the elder brother of deceased said: "Some youths posing themselves as passengers snatched away Manna's auto-rickshaw on 8 December. From that day, he was remain missing."

Gazaria police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harun-or-Rashid said: "Being informed, we recovered the body with veins of this  hands and legs slit, around 11 am on Friday.

"The body was sent to Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy." the OC added.
