Mannan Gazi, 50, stabbed his wife, Shona Bibi, 35, to death, and then hung himself early on Sunday morning.

Locals said the couple used to have regular conjugal disputes and following that on Saturday evening, at one stage of their quarrel, Mannan hacked his wife to death with a sharp object. There were stab wounds on her neck, back, legs, and body.
Later, locals found Mannan's dead body hanging from a tree near his house on Sunday. They informed the police who then arrived at the location and found his wife, Shona Bibi dead in the house as well.
Their bodies have been sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Satkhira Shyamnagar police station OC Yasin Alam said: "Being informed by the locals we recovered the bodies. The incident seems to be an outcome of a family feud."
They had two sons together; one of them is thirteen years old and the other nine. One of them is living with their maternal uncle now.
