Police have recovered locally made weapons after raiding four residential halls in Chittagong University (CU), following a clash between two groups of Chhatra League.
Additional Superintendent of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (North) Moshiudoula Reza said they raided Shahjalal, Shah Amanat, Shaheed Suhrawardy and Shaheed Abdur Rab halls on Saturday night.
Apart from these weapons, police also recovered several sacks of brick chips, reports UNB.
CU Proctor Prof Monirul Hasan said the raids were carried out after Chhatra League's factional clashes on November 28 and 29. However, no arrests have been made yet.
At least 10 BCL men were injured in clashes among followers of President Rezaul Haque Rubel and former deputy office secretary Mizanur Rahman Bipul of Chhatra League's CU unit.
