A general diary has been filed in this regard
Lalmonirhat Judge Court Senior Advocate Hafizur Rahman Hafiz has gone missing while on his way back home from court.
His son Sadman Sakib Snigdho filed a general diary (GD) with Lalmonirhat sadar police station regarding the matter early Wednesday.
Advocate Hafizur Rahman Hafiz, 52, also the former social welfare secretary of Lalmonirhat Lawyers' Association, is a resident of Saptana area of the district's sadar upazila.
Lalmonirhat sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahfuz Alam said: "Advocate Hafizur's family members have filed a general diary in connection with the disappearance. Inspector Mozammel Haque has been appointed as the investigating officer in this case."
He furthered: "Hafizur's cell phone was found switched off since 5pm on Tuesday. We are investigating the case of Advocate Hafizur Rahman's disappearance with utmost importance."
Hafizur's wife Shirinaz Parveen said: “My husband went to court around 10am as usual, however he did not return home at night. We called him but his phone was switched off and then went to our relatives' house in search of him.”
"Our youngest son Sadman filed a GD with the police station after we realized that he was missing. I just want my husband back."
