3 PCJSS men killed in Rangamati turf war

The clash took place in Balumura area on Monday afternoon

Three activists of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) have been killed after two of its rival factions engaged in a turf war at a remote area in Rajasthali upazila of Rangamati.

Locals said the clash took place between MN Larma and Santu Larma groups in the Balumura area, 20km away from Rajasthali, around 4:30 pm on Monday, leaving the three dead on the spot.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be known.

Rajasthali police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mafzal Ahmed Khan said they recovered the bodies and a gun from the spot. 

On October 23, police recovered the body of local BNP leader and former Ghhilachhari Union Parishad chairman Dipamoy Talukder from Rajasthali upazila.

He was abducted by armed assailants on gunpoint on October 22.
