Nayon had been missing since Thursday night
The deceased, Nayon Chandra Nath, was found hanging from the beam of a saw-mill near the bypass street in Munshibazar, around 7:30am Saturday. He had been missing since Thursday night.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Faridpur Kotwali police station, Enayet Hossain, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
Nayon was the youngest children among the four children of deceased Dilip Chandra Nath from Azizpur village in Daganbhuiyan upazila of Feni.
Nayon's body was recovered after locals found him hanging and informed the police, the OC said.
Later, the body was sent to Faridpur Medical College for autopsy, he added.
Nayon's classmate Waqiful said Nayon had been suffering from depression due to the immense pressure of studies that medical students have to endure during the course of their graduate studies.
Waqiful said Nayon left his hostel at the medical college and went missing on Thursday night, on the eve of the final Prof Exam.
Principal of Faridpur Medical College and the head of the Forensic Department Prof SM Khabirul Islam told Dhaka Tribune that upon primary inspection, it appeared that Nayon had committed suicide.
