Rail communications from Dhaka to Chittagong and Sylhet has resumed after being suspended for seven hours due to a head-on collision between two trains in Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria.
Rail services went back to normal around 10:25am on Tuesday morning.
Brahmanbaria Additional Deputy Commissioners Mohammed Shamsuzzaman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
At least 16 people were killed and over 50 injured when Chittagong-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet and Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita collided head-on near Mondobhag Railway Station around 3:30am on early hours of Tuesday.
