The girl was abducted on her way home from school
Police arrested a man accused in a case filed for abducting, and reportedly raping a teenager aged 13, while she was confined for eight days in Saghata upazila, Gaibandha.
The accused Prince Miya, 22, was arrested Monday morning after the girl managed to call her mother over the phone on Sunday morning, said investigation officer, Sub-Inspector (SI) Enayet Kabir.
According to the case statement, On November 3, the girl left her school, when the three-wheeler driver Prince offered her a ride. He then took the girl to a deserted house, confined her till Monday, and raped her several times.
SI Enayet said: "Police used advanced technologies to track them, and rescued the girl. The girl has been sent for medical tests."
