The protesting students claimed that after meeting with the VC, the authorities did not take any measures to meet their demands
Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) students continued their strike on Wednesday, with a new one-point demand for the removal of the VC.
This one-point demand is a continuation of protests that started on Monday.
The protesting students said they started the movement on Monday to fulfil their four-point demand, which turned into a 12-point demand on Tuesday.
Pabna Sadar MP, Golam Faruque Prince, took initiative and later arranged a meeting between the VC, Professor Dr M Rostom Ali, and representatives of the protesting students on Tuesday.
The protesting students claimed that after meeting with the VC, the authorities did not take any measures to meet their demands.
The protestors vowed to continue their strike until their only demand, the resignation of the VC, proctor, and student advisor, is fulfilled.
PUST Chhatra League has expressed solidarity with the strike.
The VC refused to give any statements regarding the issue.
