He was smuggling the contraband inside Bangladesh through waterway

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a Rohingya youth with 800,000 yaba pills in Cox's Bazar.

He was arrested from Inani beach area of Ukhiya upazila in the district on early Monday, while he was smuggling the contraband inside Bangladesh through waterway.

The arrestee -- Jamal Uddin, 26, -- is a resident of Unchiprang Rohingya refugee camp in Teknaf.

"Later, we succeeded in arresting Jamal with smuggled goods from Inani, However, there were other Rohingya men involved with the smuggling, who managed to flee."

The RAB official further said Jamal has been taken to the RAB camp for questioning. Preparations were underway to take legal action in this regard, he added.
