They expressed their wish while talking to reporters at their Sonagazi house in Feni on Saturday.
Expressing their satisfaction over the verdict in the Nusrat murder case, Nusrat’s mother Shirin Aktar demanded quick execution of the verdict.
District Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal on Thursday sentenced 16 people to death in the much-talked-about murder case, reports UNB.
Shirin said, when they had met the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina expressed sorrow saying: “We tried to save the girl but failed, justice will be ensured.”
She added: “We expect the verdict to be upheld by the High Court and be executed without delay.”

On April 15, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met Nusrat’s parents—AKM Musa and Shirin Akhter—as well as her two brothers at her office.
The prime minister consoled the family members and expressed her deep sympathy for them.
“None of the culprits will be spared from legal action,” Sheikh Hasina said, assuring the family members of extending all sorts of support to them.
Nusrat, a student of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasah in Sonagazi upazila, was set ablaze on April 6 for refusing to withdraw a case filed against its principal Md Sirajuddoula for sexually harassing her.
After fighting for life, the girl died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 10.
