The personal Facebook account of Superintendent of Police of Bhola has been hacked.
“The personal Facebook ID of Bhola Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Kaisar has been hacked. He has filed a general diary in this regard,” Md Enayet Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bhola Model police station, told Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday.
SP Kaisar could not be reached over the phone despite several attempts.
Earlier on Monday, a Bhola court sent three persons, including Biplob Chandra Shuvo, to jail in connection with a Facebook post hurting religious sentiments that triggered a clash between police and locals at the Borhanuddin upazila.
Meanwhile, protesters under the banner of "All Party Muslim Unity Council" sought removal of the district’s police chief and OC of Borhanuddin Police Station within 72 hours over Sunday’s clashes.
Four people were killed and at least 200 others injured in the clash between police and demonstrating locals in Borhanuddin upazila here, demanding punishment of a youth for allegedly hurting religious sentiment on social media.
