'School of Humanity' for underprivileged children starts its journey in Satkhira'

This altruistic initiative was undertaken by Idris Ali, a former student of the University of Dhaka, who is currently teaching History at Satkhira Government College

To provide underprivileged children with education, an educational institution named ‘School of Humanity' was inaugurated at Patakhali village, under Padmapukur union in Satkhira on Friday.

This altruistic initiative was undertaken by Idris Ali, a former student of the University of Dhaka, who is currently teaching History at Satkhira Government College.

Children who do not have the ability to attend school due to their parents' financial crisis will get the chance to study in this 'School of Humanity'. Besides, they will try to enroll students who are currently  engaged in child labor due to poverty, said founder of the school Idris Ali.

He also said: '' We want to teach students in a different way, which  will make them attentive at this school. They will learn their lessons through educational videos, songs and acting. After classes, they will be served with food.''

The school will also provide knowledge about climate change and how to protect our Sundarbans from destruction in the coming days, he added.

During the inauguration ceremony, GM Saiful Islam, lecturer at Patakhali Fazil(Degree)Madrasa, Yasminur Rahman Linken, headmaster of  Gabura GLM High School, and Mawlana Mahamudunnabi , acting headmaster of Char Chandipur government primary school were also present.
