In Magura, two people were killed when their motorcycle was rammed by a bus on the Magura-Jhenaidah Highway near Itkhola Bazaar
At least nine people were killed and several others injured in road accidents in Gazipur, Magura, Bogra, and Rajshahi, on Friday.
In Gazipur, four pedestrians were killed and two others injured when a truck overturned on them on the Dhaka- Mymensingh Highway in Sreepur upazila in the early morning hours.
The victims, Saiful Islam, 25, Jahangir Hossain, 25, and Badsha Miya, 19, died instantly, while Rafiqul Islam, 53, died later in the morning, undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Maona Highway police station OC Monjur Hossain said: “Truck driver Badsha Sheikh was arrested and the vehicle seized.”

The deceased, Arjina Begum, 48, and Pikul Hossain, 50, died on the spot.
Magura Sadar police station OC Sirajul Islam said: “The bus was seized but the driver got away.”
In Bogra, two people died and another was injured when their motorcycle was rear-ended by a truck in Boalia of Adamdighi upazila.
The deceased, Rabbi Bulbul, 30, and Johurul Islam, 28, died on the spot.
Adamdighi police OC Jalal Uddin said: “A case was recorded in this regard.”
In Rajshahi, a woman died and another was injured when a bus overturned on them at the Bhobaniganj bus stand in Bagmara upazila.
The deceased, Dina Begum, 40, died on the spot.
Bagmara police station OC Ataur Rahman said: “The body was handed over to her family and an unnatural death case was filed.”
