At least six people died from drinking too much and poisonous liquor in three districts of the country.

In Barisal, Siddhartha Roy Mithun, 32, Bikash Karmakar, 35, and Ratan Chandra Das, 26, drank the toxic liquor on the roof-top of a three storied building in the Daptarkhana area celebrating Bijoya Dashami.
They fell severely ill and were taken to hospital, where Bikash and Ratan died on Thursday. Mithun died earlier on Wednesday night.
Kotwali police station OC Nurul Islam said: "Untimely death cases have been filed. The dead bodies were sent for autopsy."
In Tangail, Ananda Pal, 45, died on Thursday in the hospital while Gopal Chandra Pal, 35, died at home from drinking too much liquor in celebration of Durga Puja, Kalihati police station OC Hasan Al Mamun confirmed.
In Khulna, Manajit Biswas, 52, died around 9pm on Thursday in Khulna Medical College Hospital from drinking too much alcohol, confirmed Ward Master Ataur Rahman.
Earlier, another eight people died in the city and Rupsha Upazila on Tuesday and Wednesday, from drinking too much liquor.
Md Rasheduzzaman, Deputy Director of the Department of Narcotics Control, said they all had reportedly consumed foreign liquor during Puja celebrations.
