Two people have been killed in separate road accidents in Tangail and Pabna districts.

In Tangail, at least 30 people were injured as a Dhanbari bound bus fell into a roadside ditch on Gangair Bekarkona area of Tangail-Mymensingh highway in Madhupur upazila around 12:30am on Tuesday.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Madhupur Fire Service Station Officer Delwar Hossain said the incident occurred when a bus skidded off the road, as the driver lost control.
At least 20 people were rescued by locals and firefighters after the accident. Among them, 15 were admitted to Madhupur Upazila Health Complex in critical condition.
In Pabna, a school student was killed after a bus ran over him in Sakregari intersection of Ishwardi-Kushtia road of Ishwardi upazila around 8:30pm on Tuesday.
The deceased is Sampod Hussain, 16, son of Ariful Islam of Jagannathpur village of Salimpur union, and a student of Bhasha Shahid Bidyaniketon in Ishwardi.
Local witnesses said, Sampad was ran over by the bus as he was commuting to school Tuesday morning. He died on the spot.
Ishwardi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bahauddin Faruqi confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “The trucker could not be arrested yet. Police will rescue the body and send it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
A case will be filed with Ishwardi police station regarding the matter.
