The incidents occurred in four different places
At least four people were killed in road accidents in Joypurhat, Natore, Nilphamari, and Tangail on Friday, and one more on Thursday night.
In Joypurhat, a fifth-grader was killed when a truck ran him over while bicycling on Khanjanpur-Naogaon road in Sadar upazila, on Friday afternoon.
The deceased identified as Joy Hossain, 12, was a student of Joypurhat Barendra Campus School.
Joypurhat Sadar police station Inspector (Investigation) Raihan Hossain said: “The schoolboy was initially injured, and when he was taken to Joypurhat Adhunik Zilla Hospital, he was declared dead.”

In Natore, an eggs-laiden truck overturned killing its driver on the spot, and injuring the driver’s assistant in Rahimpur area of Lalpur upazila on Friday.
The deceased Shimul alias Nilu, 18, was from Rajshahi municipality. The injured Alam, 18, is receiving treatment at the Upazila Health Complex.
Lalpur police station OC Selim Reza said: “The truck lost control after hitting a coconut tree around 2:30pm.”
In Nilphamari, a pedestrian was killed when a minibus collided with a motorcycle in the Chowmuhani bazar area in Syedpur upazila on Friday.

The deceased Monir Uddin, 40, was killed on the spot.
Syedpur police station OC Shahjahan Pasha said: “An unnatural death case was filed.”
In Tangail, two people including a college student was killed in Madhupur, and Sadar upazila on Friday.
In Madhurpur upazila, a battery-run van driver was killed after his vehicle collided with a truck in Charanjani area, on Friday morning.

The van driver Abdul Halim Miya, 35, died on the spot, said Madhupur Fire Service Station Officer Lablu Tarafdar.
In a separate incident on Thursday night, a motorcyclist was rammed by a bus at the Kumudini College intersection in Sadar upazila.
The deceased identified as Md Shobuj, 18, was killed while on the way to Dhaka, said locals.
