'I am now mentally disturbed by this incident. Give me a little time. We are investigating the incidents to disclose the truth'
The government has withdrawn Ahmed Kabir from the post of deputy commissioner (DC) of Jamalpur and made him an officer on special duty (OSD), after videos, allegedly of him, in a compromising position with a female staff went viral on social media.
The video was leaked on Thursday, showing the Jamalpur DC hugging his fellow female colleague.
The leaked video went viral on social media platform, Facebook, igniting mass criticism, according to media reports.
In the video clip, Ahmed Kabir, Jamalpur DC, was seen in a compromising position with a female colleague in his workplace.
The 5-minute video, footage of a CCTV camera, went viral on Thursday night.

However, denying the whole thing, Kabir claimed, the video was staged.
When the Dhaka Tribune district journalist asked Kabir on Friday about the incident, he said he would hold a press conference to express his opinion.
Later, Ahmed Kabir arranged a press briefing in the district circuit house, and said: “I am now mentally disturbed by this incident. Give me a little time. We are investigating the incidents to disclose the truth.”
Ahmed Kabir to face punishment after investigation
Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam on Saturday said they were looking into the matter and that it would be resolved within a day or two.
State Minister for Public Administration, Farhad Hossain, said Kabir would face departmental action following an investigation.
