12 other migrants injured, including 2 Bangladeshis
A 20-year-old Bangladeshi man has been killed, and 12 other migrants injured in a road accident in North Macedonia.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be known.
North Macedonian Police said that a van carrying the migrants was hit by a truck on the highway, near the town of Demir Kapija on Friday.
The van caught fire after the collision, killing the Bangladeshi youth on spot, and injuring two other Bangladeshis and 10 Pakistani migrants, reports AP.
Four has been admitted to a clinic in Skopje, North Macedonia's capital city with critical injuries, while eight others are ongoing treatment in a local hospital in Kavadarci town.
The van driver fled the scene. Police suspect that the migrants were attempting to trespass from Greece through north Serbia to the European heartlands illegally by bribing human traffickers.
