He said this at a program organized to mark the National Mourning Day at Akhaura railway station premises in Brahmanbaria
Law Minister Anisul Huq has said, the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be brought back to the country through diplomatic, and legal means.
"Two of Bangabandhu's killers are now in Canada and the USA, while four others are staying in different countries. All of them will be brought back," he said while addressing a program organized to mark the National Mourning Day at Akhaura railway station premises in Brahmanbaria around 11am Friday.
The minister said: "Those who did not want the independence of Bangladesh in 1971, and conspired under the very flag of Awami League, have been trying to turn the country into a mini Pakistan for the last 21 years.
"Killers like Khandaker Mushtaq almost succeeded in their endeavours but the people of Bangladesh prevented it from happening. If anyone makes such an attempt again, they will be met with a befitting legal reply," he said.
On the issue of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia celebrating her birthday on the National Mourning Day, Anisul said: "I don't want to comment on this because Khaleda Zia has a reputation of changing her birthday on a daily basis."
He said the fate of the country has begun to change when the Awami League government, led by Sheikh Hasina came to power in 1996. Now Bangladesh has become a role model of development in the globe.
Law Ministry Secretary Md Golam Sarwar, Akhaura municipality's Mayor Md Takjil Khalifa Kajol, among others, where present at the event chaired by Professor Md Joynal Abedin, convener of Akhaura upazila unit Awami League.
