At least 11 people were rescued from the Jamuna River on Wednesday night, after a boat capsized in the river in Dewanganj upazila, Jamalpur.
The boat, which was carrying 28-30 people, was heading to Falkarchar from Futani Bazar when it capsized due to bad weather, around 8:30pm.
The rest of the passengers are still missing, sources in the river police in Dewanganj told Dhaka Tribune.
Members of river police along with the locals are currently conducting a search mission in the river to find the missing passengers.
