Minor’s decapitated body found in Chuadanga

Amir Hossain was a class two student

Police have recovered a decapitated body of a class two madrassa student in Chuadanga. 

The body was recovered from a mango orchard in Koyradanga area under Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga district around 8:30am on Wednesday.

The deceased is Abir Hossain, 11, a local madrassa student at the Koyradanga Noorani Hafeziya Madrasa.

Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Alamdanga police station Ashaduzzman Munshi said: "Abir was admitted to the madrasa on June 15. He went missing after dinner on Tuesday night."

"On information, we recovered the body on Wednesday morning. Primarily, we think he was slaughtered," he added.

OC Asaduzzaman said the motive of the murder was not immediately known. However, police was still trying to find Abir's head, he informed.

Chuadanga Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Kalimullah said police have sent the body to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
