Nine found dead in N’ganj, Cox's Bazar

In Narayanganj, the deceased were identified as Shefali Begum, 42, Barek Mia, 49, Saiful Islam, 25, Suruj Mia, 40, Mizan Sikdar Mishur, 28, and another unidentified man

Police recovered seven dead bodies from Narayanganj and two from Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.

In Narayanganj, the deceased were identified as Shefali Begum, 42, Barek Mia, 49, Saiful Islam, 25, Suruj Mia, 40, Mizan Sikdar Mishur, 28, and another unidentified man.

Suruj Mia and Mizan Sikdar were murdered in Araihazar and Bandar upazilas respectively early Tuesday. 

Barek, Saiful, and an employee of Rahmania School died from electrocution in Bandar upazila, in Fatullah, and in Dhamgar respectively. 

Shefali's body was recovered from a water body in Fatullah upazila. Police say she might have drowned a few days before.

The dead body of a 25-year-old man was recovered from Mijmij Matin road in Siddhirganj upazila.

In Cox’s Bazar, police recovered two dead bodies in Ramu and Ukhiya upazilas on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, 35, a suspected drug dealer, and Abdul Motaleb, 40, a suspected robber.

Upon information, police recovered Nazrul's bullet-riddled body in the Chirai-khal area of Jaliapalon union, said Ukhiya police station OC, Abul Mansur. 

Police also recovered one locally made rifle, three bullets and 500 yaba tablets from the spot. Nazrul had several drug cases filed against him, added OC Mansur.

In Ramu upazila, Motaleb's body was recovered from Thoyaingakata hill area of Garzania union, said Ramu police station OC (probe) Mizanur Rahman. 

Police suspect rival robber gangs abducted him and hacked him to death.  Motaleb was an identified robber and had 4-5 cases filed against him, added OC Mizanur.
