Arif khan CEO and Managing Director of IDLC Finance Ltd inaugurated the school on Thursday afternoon.

Alokito Shishu, a free-of-cost school for the underprivileged, especially children belonging to the Bede community has been established in Malkhanagar under Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj.

After the inauguration ceremony, a discussion program and a cultural program were organized at Malkhanagar High School auditorium.

Md Parvez, a teacher of the school informed that even though the newly constructed school building was just inaugurated, the school’s academic activities began three years ago. 

“There are 50 students enrolled and two teachers appointed at the school. It is a primary school up to class five,” he added.

Arif Khan, CEO and Managing Director of IDLC Finance Limited said: “We have been working for the Bede community and those who are underprivileged in the society. We have built seven schools across the country including a school in Sazek Valley in Rangamati. 

“Our vision is to impart free education for the children whose family cannot afford it.”

Malkhanagar High School Headmaster Md Monjurul Alom also spoke on the occasion and actress Shabnam Faria visited the school.
