Police have arrested 11 people till now
Police have recovered the machete used during the murder of Rifat Sharif from a ditch beside the canteen of Barguna Government College.
“Based on the information gleaned from Rifat Farazi-- one of the key accused in the murder-- during interrogation, we recovered the murder weapon from the ditch on Monday morning,” Barguna Sadar police station Inspector Humayun Kabir said.

Police also arrested Ariyan Srabon, another accused in the case, from the area, he said.
Rifat, 22, was hacked to death by criminals, in front of his wife Ayesha Siddika Minni, in broad daylight on June 26.

The incident was caught on surveillance camera. Video footage of the gruesome killing caused a stir online and sparked outrage across Bangladesh.
Police have arrested 11 people till now. The main accused, Sabbir Ahmed alias Nayon Bond, was killed in a reported gunfight with police in Sadar upazila on July 2. Following the murder, Rifat's father had filed a case with Barguna Sadar police.
