The principal lured two schoolgirls to a classroom in his college in December 2018 and molested them
Harun ur Rashid, principal of Mirzapur Women College, has been suspended for molesting two schoolgirls.
On Tuesday, the college’s Governing Council Chairman Zakir Hossain told the media: “A parent had complained that two girls from a neighbouring school entered the college grounds to play badminton on December 20, 2018. Harun lured them to a classroom and molested them.”
The concerned parent had complained to the local UNO Abdul Malek, who ordered a probe committee be formed to investigate. The probe committee assessed the statements of the victims, their mothers, two witnesses, principal Harun ur Rashid, and authenticated the incident.
Harun has also been served a show-cause notice and asked to explain his actions within 15 working days.
Zakir added that if Harun fails to explain himself, he might be then terminated.
