A Shariatpur tribunal sentenced two men to death for gang-raping a girl at Mahmud Shikdar Kandi village in Zajira upazila in 2015.
The condemned convicts Sujon Bepari, 28, and Shamim Bepari, 26, were tried in absentia on Wednesday as they jumped bail two years ago.
District Judge Salam Khan of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal delivered the verdict, and acquitted another accused as the allegation brought against him was not proven.
According to the prosecution, Sujon, and Shamim swooped on the victim on April 22, 2015 when she came out of their house at night. They gagged her, and took her to a bamboo bush where they took turns in raping her.
Family members rescued the girl after the rapists left her abandoned, and unconscious.

Tutor arrested for sexually abusing sixth grader in Jhenaidah
Police arrested a private tutor in a case filed for sexually abusing a sixth-grader in Sadar upazila of Jhenaidah on Wednesday.
The arrested Samit Ghosh, tutored children in Rasulpur Primary School in Nagarbathan.
Jhenaidah Sadar police station OC Mizanur Rahman said: "A case was filed by the girl's mother, and we are investigating the matter."
According to the case, on Wednesday morning, Samit sent the other students home, and sexually abused the girl.
Speech-impaired woman reportedly raped in Tangail
A speech-impaired woman was sent to Tangail General Hospital on Wednesday after reportedly being raped in Dhanbari upazila.
The woman’s brother-in-law filed the case on Tuesday.
According to the case, on Friday, the accused Minhaz Uddin Minu, son of former UP member, lured the woman promising her medical treatment, and raped her.
Dhanbari police station OC Mojibor Rahman said: “We are working to arrest the suspect. The woman is currently undergoing medical tests.”
